What is TPO Roofing Material?
TPO, which stands for thermoplastic polyolefin, is a common single-ply roofing material often associated with commercial roofs. The other common single-ply roofing material is EPDM rubber roofing. However, TPO was created in the late 90s as an alternative to more expensive rubber and PVC roofs.
The material of TPO membranes is excellent for flat or low-sloped roofs. TPO roofing material is made from recycled materials.

TPO Installation in Tennessee
To begin the installation, we at Austermiller Inc. clean or remove any pre-existing roof materials. Next, we install your choice of insulation for the roof — there are three main types of insulation we may use, depending on your building’s needs.
After installing the insulation, we attach the TPO membrane to the insulation with adhesive or mechanically fasten it with screws. Once the TPO is rolled out on the entire roof, we use a hot-air gun to weld the seams together.
